Our major annual strategic events are namely African Bankers Awards and African Business Awards. BIAE and IC Publications (ICP) are co-founders/organisers of the highly prestigious and widely celebrated African Bankers Awards which are held annually during the IMF/World Bank meetings. This highly valued program brings together Africa’s Finance Ministers, Central Bank Governors, Policy Makers, Senior Bankers and Global Investors to an evening of excellence and recognition of outstanding bankers and financiers in Africa. ICP are publishers of New African, New African Woman, African Banker, African Business and The Middle East magazines in English and French. BIAE works in partnership with ICP to host the premier annual African Bankers Awards designed to recognise and celebrate the best and brightest amongst African Bankers and Financiers. America’s apex organised private sector group namely the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) are our primary event partners on this global program. African Bankers Awards have been held annually in Washington DC and, once in Turkey.
BIAE also works in partnership with ICP and the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC), which is the foremost organisation for the promotion of commercial enterprises within the nations of the Commonwealth, to host investment promotion events including the most prestigious annual African Business Awards which is regularly attended by Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers and Business Leaders. African Business Awards are annually held in London. Many African Business Leaders and corporate organisations have received their first global visibility through the combination of recognition from either African Bankers Awards and or African Business Awards. BIAE also provides clients with media profile management services through its strong media relationships which enables us to strategically position advertorials and much more with a view to help clients win the hearts and minds of global investment community.
BIAE have also participated in the first Singapore-Africa Business Forum which held in Singapore and also worked in concert with the Acrux Stella Education Group PTE and Singapore Cooperation Agency to create business opportunities by organising business delegations between Africa and Asia.
BIAE is a board member of the Business Council for Africa (BCA). The Business Council for Africa West & Southern, established in 1956, is a group of over 400 companies and entrepreneurs having interests in West and/or Southern Africa. It is closely linked with the Eastern Africa Association and also with the EU through its membership of the Business Council for Africa UK (BCA UK) which is part of the European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM).
BIAE have collaborated with The Economist on its various government roundtable events in Africa. We have also served Eurofinance and FT Banker in their business development in Africa. BIAE organized and hosted the first African Film Premier at London’s Leicester Square. BIAE have also partnered with the world’s most dominant business and authoritative financial news global broadcaster namely Bloomberg to promote, develop and host African investment promotion programs.
